MESSAGE RECEIVED
Communicating With Style

Purposes:  Enhance communication in the workplace.  Relate better to customers and clients.  Minimize confusion and miscommunication among workers.  The biggest challenges some companies businesses, and organizations face is sending and receiving communication that is understood.

What Clients Say:

“Loved this session”

“Very knowledgeable and interesting.

Value and Outcomes:  Participants will leave with a clear understanding of the positive and negative aspects of four communication styles.  Each participant will know how he/she prefers to send and receive information.  People will leave with the knowledge and skills necessary to send information in a way that will be understood.  You’ll learn a powerful, proven way to quickly and accurately determine another person’s style of communicating. You’ll see an immediate change in workplace communications!

Description:  A fast-paced, fun and fascinating program on human communication.  What’s the number one complaint of people in organizations?  “We don’t communicate well.” This training session shows you why.  The program identifies the four basic communication styles and teaches you how to make certain your messages are correctly sent and received.

Components:  This presentation takes the best of three well respected studies on human communication and blends them into an easy-to-learn and remember format.  Participants will take a short communication survey, tally their results, identify their dominant communication preferences, and understand the strengths and weaknesses of that preference. People will then engage in a series of simulations designed to highlight how the information can be used in a wide variety of situations.  Each style of communication is related to a color and an animal for easy recall (i.e. ‘Red Dolphin’).

Ideally suited for: Half-day program or breakout session.

WE’RE IN THIS TOGETHER
Team Building Through Levels and Transitions

What Clients Say:

“Ed, first of all is a wonderful instructor, second the info he shared was very useful… I would like to see if we could get this training for other staff members.”

“He had good use of humor, provided several opportunities for us to work together and to think.

Purposes:  Enhance the ability of people to work together for the good of the organization.  Generate increased levels of productivity and performance in the workplace. Provide leaders with the skills and knowledge to move the organization forward.

Value and Outcomes:  Team members will know what level of effectiveness they are currently experiencing and what is necessary to make a transition to the next level.  Team leaders will know when to manage a team and when to lead a team.

Description:  A transformational learning experience for anyone who has the responsibility of leading others and producing high-performance teams.  This retreat demonstrates the fact that teams evolve through specific levels with definite transitions between each level.  If the leader doesn’t understand the transition process, the team can easily become ‘stuck’ at low levels of productivity and performance.  Team members will understand the specific activities needed in order to move to higher levels of performance.

Components:  Teams operate at many levels and transitions. Not all teams are high-powered, effective and efficient.  In fact, most are not.  Building a team that produces great results is a difficult, time-intensive effort.  Levels and Transitions illustrates the levels at which teams operate.  Each level is identified by the major, dominant processes the team engages in as they work. The five concepts in Levels and Transitions are:

Ideally suited for:  One or two-day retreat of managers/leaders.
